About Darcy J Mahon
The photographer
Darcy is a Geelong-based photographer who grew up with a camera in his hands. After studying Studio Art and Media Studies in high school with a focus on still images, he decided to take his passion further by completing a Diploma of Photography, graduating in 2021.
Darcy has a love for capturing raw, candid moments, yet he’s just as happy to gather everyone together for a timeless, posed smile. His approach blends natural storytelling with a few classic portraits, ensuring each session preserves memories exactly as they happen.
When he’s not behind the camera, Darcy enjoys spending time at home with his growing family or exploring everything Geelong and the Surf Coast have to offer. He’s also been actively involved in his local community, volunteering with the Anakie Football Club on the general committee and as a junior coach when he wasn’t playing himself.
Photography, for Darcy, isn’t just about taking pictures. It’s about telling stories, preserving moments, and giving you images you’ll treasure for years to come.
